Are my shears ready to sharpen?

We offer complimentary shear blade maintance including checking the blade sharpness, nicks, or tension adjustments. Shears will hold more shape mid-blade, while the tip can snag or tear, other times just a quick maintenance. Contact us for a complimentary shear check.

What type of shears do you sharpen?

We sharpen a variety of shears specializing in Japanese and German steel.

If your shears have been damaged by dropping, perhaps catching on a nick, or even improper sharpening. Give us your dull damaged shears and let our custom shear restoration shop begin restoring them to like new condition.

How often should I have my shears sharpened?

It depends on how often you use your shears and the type of work you're doing. Dry hair will dull shears faster, 6 months recommended. Generally, it's recommended to have your shears sharpened every 6-12 months. Rotate sharpening if you have multiple pairs for wet +/or dry hair, always having sharp shears for best haircuts. Always recommended to have multiple sizes and styles.
